New Patients

At Windsor Hills Family Dentistry, we look forward to taking care of you and or your family. Here are some things to be aware of with your first visit.

Your first appointment with Dr. Gary or Dr. Chris should take approximately 60 minutes to complete. During this time, we will take any necessary digital X-rays and diagnostic pictures, and perform a complete oral examination.

The dentist will explain the results of the exam and inform you about any issues that were identified. He will review with you all of the options available, taking care to explain each one thoroughly, and then together with you, will draw up a treatment plan that best suits your needs and finances.

There’s a good reason why you probably won’t receive a teeth cleaning at your first appointment: It’s only after your first exam that your dental team can understand your needs and concerns first, then tailor your hygiene treatment to you. This way, you’ll get the most out of your cleaning appointments and the time and attention you deserve.

After you’ve talked with your dentist, our office manager will answer any questions or concerns you might have, including the payment options available and how your dental insurance works.

Insurance Policy and Payments

We work hard to control the cost of dental care. It’s part of our philosophy that quality care should be available to everyone. Our first rule of thumb: before any work is performed, we’ll sit down together and go over estimate of costs. We welcome questions you may have about insurance, policies and fees.

Dental insurance is an important benefit for many people. We’ll help you fill out your claim forms and answer questions. We work for our patients and not the insurance company. Each policy is different, but in general, insurance usually covers only a percentage of total cost. Financing is available to all patients with or without insurance. We can work out alternative financial arrangements that suit us both. The way we see it, there’s always a way to get the help you need.
